The new GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards are designed to deliver unparalleled performance. The series is powered by Nvidia’s latest GPU architecture, the Ada Lovelace, which is built on a 4nm process node, considered by many to be the world’s first computer programmer.

The latest graphics card collection is an impressive feat, thanks to the collaboration between the company and TSMC. The collection features a remarkable 4nm process, which delivers improved performance and superior power efficiency, surpassing the rumoured 5nm process speculated prior to launch.

Among the collection’s headline features are the 76 billion transistors, 90 Shader TFLOPs with a new streaming multiprocessor, 200 RT TFLOPs with 2x ray-triangle intersection and 1,400 Tensor TFLOPs for improved deep learning capabilities. With Shader Execution Reordering, Nvidia asserts that this feature is as significant as out-of-order execution tech for CPUs.

The result is a graphics card that delivers up to 50% better performance than its predecessors, the RTX 30 series.

The series features multiple graphics cards, each with its own unique specifications. The flagship card, the RTX 4090, boasts a whopping 24,576 CUDA cores, 192 Ray-Tracing cores, and 768 Tensor Cores (Understanding NVIDIA’s Tensor Core Technology). It also has a base clock speed of 2.1 GHz and a boost clock speed of 2.8 GHz. The RTX 4090 is capable of delivering 8K resolution at 60 FPS, making it the perfect graphics card for high-end gaming and professional workloads.
