DFI BT968 Compact Type 6 Supports Dual Displays with Intel Atom E3800 Series


DFI has launched the COM Express module, BT968 in its Intel® Atom™ processor-based product line. The new Compact module is based on the low-power and cost-efficient next-generation Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 product family, which is specifically designed for today’s growing performance/wattage requirements of intelligent systems. This unique equipment delivers excellent computing, media, and graphical capabilities as well as a built - in security engine — all on a sub - 10 - watt system - on - chip (SoC) making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial designs. The advanced discrete - level GPU integrated in the processor supports high - end enhanced media and also offers higher performance at lower power consumption. The integrated Intel® HD Graphics provides accelerated graphics performance by taking advantage of shared cache. BT9A3 Series is designed with LVDS and DDI (HDMI, DVI, Display Port) interfaces and BT968-Series is equipped 1 VGA, 1 LVDS, and 1 DDI interfaces allowing you to choose the best combination to suit various requirements. Based on the Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 SoC product family, the BT968 module comes with high performance and flexible I/O to provide increased computing and graphics performance. The Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) controller integrated into the BT968 supports 2 Serial ATA interfaces with speed rate up to 3Gb/s. The expansion design of this COM Express modules also offers 3 PCIe x1 for the various demands. The features of this new COM Express module is ideal for a whole range of applications which require a stable revision-controlled platform, such as industrial control automation, digital signage, medical equipment, and kiosk embedded applications.
