The NIFE 103 is an entry level IoT gateway controller powered by the Intel Atom Dual Core E3826 1.46GHz processor. This small form factor embedded computer is suitable for M2M fieldbus communication via 1x RS232/485 with auto flow control. Further I/O includes 1x Micro HDMI display port, 2x GbE LAN, 1x USB 3.0 and 1x USB 2.0. Expansion is via 1x full size mini-PCIe socket for optional mSATA/4G/3.5G/LTE modules and 1x half size mini-PCIe for an optional Wi-Fi module. The NIFE 103 meets the specification for PLCopen and allows for solftlogic control programming enabling the unit to act as a SoftPLC controller and M2M gateway.
